These pages concern a subject central to our life and ministry as a church — the care and protection of the children God has entrusted to us for nurture. We would naturally like to take it for granted that a church is a safe environment and that children and young people will never be at risk from other Christians. Unfortunately experience has shown that these assumptions cannot be made and that the Church at every level needs to be vigilant and to have appropriate policies and practices in place to ensure as far as possible best practice of the very highest standard.
The Diocesan policy, procedures and recommended good practice are to be studied and implemented by the cathedral, parishes and church organisations in the Diocese.
