Adult Education
Welcome to the Adult Education part of the diocesan website.
We aim to promote opportunities for learning so that lay Christians might seek to know, to love and to serve Jesus. As the diocesan Life Together vision says we ‘seek a community which helps to give its lay and ordained members training so that they may “give a reason for the hope that is within them”.’
We aim to help Christians to be ‘not simply disciples, followers of Jesus, but sharers in the apostolic task’.
You can find information about the courses we offer e.g. Following Jesus and Developing Discipleship courses (part of the Bishop’s Certificate). There is information about Reader Training, Lay Ministers of Holy Communion and about the magnet (a diocesan learning centre that we administer in St Leonard’s).
For further help and advice please do contact members of the adult education team. We would be pleased to hear from you.
