Two clergy from Chichester diocese won awards at Ecclesiastical Insurance’s Ministry Bursary Awards this year
The Revd Michael Broadley and the Revd Mark Redhouse were presented with their awards at a ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral Chapter House on Thursday 10 January by Ecclesiastical’s Group Chief Executive, Michael Tripp.
The Revd Michael Broadley, Team Vicar of St Mark's church in the Horsham team, won an award to fund part of a sabbatical to step back, pray and reflect on the shape of his ministry.
The Revd Mark Redhouse, Vicar of Christ Church, Horam, won a bursary award to spend two weeks in Kenya based at the Carlile College in Nairobi.
Altogether 36 members of the clergy from 20 dioceses received awards this year.
The Ministry Bursary Awards have been supporting clergy for more than 20 years. Since 1987, more than 600 clergy have received bursaries to support study and sabbaticals in the UK and abroad.
