Communications in the Diocese of Chichester

The diocesan communications team provides support to the network of clergy, parishes and church schools in the diocese of Chichester. The Communications Officer is the first point of contact for media relations responding to enquiries from the press and broadcast media, offering professional support and advice during times of crisis and particular media interest.

The team provides a responsive enquiry service; publication of the fortnightly digital e-news and the Diocesan Magazine, published in the summer and autumn, Faith in Sussex.

The communications team supports the Diocesan vision and works in partnership with the key officers, councils and committees  to deliver on campaigns, initiatives and resources to support the mission and ministry in our parishes and schools to encourage people to know, love and follow Jesus.

Social Media

The team creates content for its social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) to reflect and support the activity and events from church and school communities across the diocese.

The team offers training and support for all aspects of communications and offer communication audits as well as offering advice on a wide range of digital communications, including video and live streaming services.
