    Vicar of New Shoreham & Shoreham Beach

    St Mary de Haura is, in every way, at the centre of the lively seaside town of Shoreham-by-Sea. The magnificent Norman church is a significant landmark in the town, and the vicar has the opportunity a play a leading and high profile role across the whole parish.

    The Church of the Good Shepherd on Shoreham Beach, is ably looked after by the associate vicar and is also a vibrant worshipping community.

    The Bishop of Chichester is looking for a priest who

    • Will lead mission through articulating the gospel with clarity and imagination and by building community;
    • Has excellent liturgical skills and is adept at working with a very good choir;
    • Can build on excellent foundations to continue attracting a wide spectrum of ages;
    • Has the ability to lead a committed and able team of lay and ordained colleagues.
    • Is a person of mature faith and good judgement, able to recognize and encourage the gifts of others;
    • Has a settled and evident commitment to prayer and personal growth;
    • Will bring pastoral sensitivity, great capacity for love, and generous wisdom.

    This is a very exciting opportunity to lead a growing church at the heart of an interesting and diverse benefice.
